For the first time in history, five generations are working side by side, each with different leadership, communication and career development styles. This surge in workplace diversity brings varying perspectives, ideas, and experiences – all of which can spark creativity, innovation and growth for your organization. However, differences in working styles between the generations can result in cracks in engagement and productivity if not addressed. This workshop will help you to:

  • Understand the various generations in the workplace including their definition events and experiences, values and characteristics at work.
  • Learn techniques to help your organization work effectively as a team across generations.

 

About the Speakers:

 

Leslie Speas is the VP of Culture and Consulting at The Resource. She is a dedicated HR and Organizational Development professional with over 25 years of experience in all areas of the HR field. During her career, she has built several HR departments from the ground up. In her role at The Resource, Leslie is building a Human Resources and leadership consulting arm of the business. Consulting Services offered include: HR Compliance/HR Audits; HR Outsourcing; Employee Handbook/Policy Development; Employee/Leadership Development; CORE Assessment for employee selection and teambuilding; Outplacement Counseling; and engagement/retention consulting. Leslie is passionate about helping companies to elevate their performance through their people. Leslie has a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and HR Management, as well as SHRM-SCP and SPHR certifications. She is also a Certified Professional Coach.

 

Sylvia Laurence is a Leadership Development Consultant for Trevero and worked for three years in a strategic consulting role at Chick-fil-A.  She is a graduate of Wake Forest University and has a diverse background in marketing and customer service for the restaurant industry, working with two regional chains – Red Hot & Blue and Sticky Fingers Smokehouse. People are her top priority, and she has used this focus to launch new businesses across the country and help them set a foundation for their ongoing marketing strategies. She is a CORE Assessment consultant and an expert in training team members to utilize their CORE energies for greater performance.
